We are delighted to invite you and a guest to the launch of Inner East Community Support, a newly established charity dedicated to enhancing lives in Melbourne’s Inner East.
Founded this year, Inner East Community Support is committed to addressing the poverty, distress, sickness, disability, destitution, suffering, misfortune, and helplessness faced by individuals in our community. Our mission is to provide vital grants and programs that offer relief and support to those in need. We will work in partnership with other organisations to implement projects and programs aimed at positively impacting our community. Our beneficiaries will include:
- Individuals at risk of or experiencing homelessness, many of whom face trauma, isolation, mental illness, or disability.
- Disadvantaged school-aged youth.
- People with disabilities, with a focus on supporting their full participation in the community.
- Migrants, refugees, or asylum seekers.
We’ are excited to have Lyn Swinburne AO, the Founder of Breast Cancer Network Australia, as our guest speaker at the event. With over thirty years of dedicated advocacy for a brighter future for individuals affected by breast cancer, Lyn has been a pivotal force in philanthropy. She will share her invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of charitable giving and the critical role that foundations and charities play in supporting a wide array of causes.
